About Us

We always had a dream of starting a business together, however we assumed it would be much later in life. We have been blessed together as a family and we had reached a place where we were living a comfortable, steady life at a fairly easy pace. It was then that the Lord called us to move forward in pursuing our dream. For us, this meant that Keith had to leave his career of approximately 27 years, and I (DeDe) had to branch out of the comforts of my role as a stay-at-home wife and mom.

Early on in our marriage, we loved going into Kimbrough Brothers General store. This store represented what we saw Pine Mountain as; a close knit family community. When the store closed, we lost such a great attribute to Pine Mountain. Keith and I have a desire to bring some of that old town feel back to the place that has been home for us for so many years.

We have been members of the Pine Mountain community for the majority of our adult lives and this quaint little town hold a special place in our hearts. The Lord always made it clear to us that this is the community in which he would have us pursue our dreams.

After years of prayer and lots of hard work we have decided to open ReFuge Mercantile. This general store is located at 103 Broad Street, Pine Mountain Georgia. When you visit us, you will be able to enjoy a store that has modern flair mixed with an old Timey feel where you will always be greeted with warm friendly smiles.
