About Savage Hart Wildlife Rehabilitation, Inc
Savage Hart was built upon strong ethical values to conserve and protect all wild animals and their natural habitat.
OUR GOAL:
To ensure that wild animals and their natural habitats are sustained for future generations.
OUR MISSION:
Savage Hart Wildlife is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and conserving wild animals and their natural environments. We exist to facilitate animal welfare, promote global wildlife conservation efforts, and foster peaceful coexistence among humans and all things wild.
OUR FOCUS:
Our projects focus on wildlife rehabilitation, human-wildlife conflict solutions, and wildlife conservation.
OUR PERSPECTIVES:
Some of the organization’s perspectives on conservation subjects are as follows:
Savage Hart DOES support wildlife rehabilitation to conserve and protect native species. If an animal is orphaned and/or injured due to human error, it is our responsibility to rehabilitate and return that animal to its natural environment.
Savage Hart does NOT support the exploitation of wild animals, which includes but is not limited to: entertainment, cub petting, photo sessions, and physical contact with captive wild animals (unless part of a licensed rehab program).
Savage Hart does NOT support captive breeding unless part of the SSP (Species Survival Plan). Wild animals breed very well in their natural environment to sustain populations.
Savage Hart does NOT support the possession of any wild animals as pets.
Active memberships include:
The Ohio Wildlife Rehabilitators Association (OWRA)
The National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association (NWRA)
